Works in my own 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT, standard cab with platform manufacturing plant radio. These match the rear part panels. You need to drill slots to attach the speakers because the factory speaker systems just snap in, which really is a nifty design to lessen unit installation time and creation costs.
The included screws won't touch or "bite" in to the sheet metal, which means you either need to drill openings slightly bigger than the included screws and use the covered tabs (which may be a headache, imo) to support the audio speakers, or use self-tapping screws, which is the course I went.
Sound - They are simply being powered by the improved factory radio, which really is a JVC KD-X330BTS plus they appear great, IMO. In the event that you intend to use these in something which has a 10 in . or larger subwoofer, then you will want to boost the supplied wattage with an amplifier fitted to the RMS wattage these speakers are designed for. In case the purchase price didn't give it away, these aren't high-end loudspeakers. Check the site
